Payments Solutions Specialist

As a Payments Solutions Specialist you will work together with the Technical Reporting Standards team with delivering projects implementing ISO 20022 as messaging format in the modern payment systems. In particular, you will provide business expertise on payments exchange flows to the internal project teams as well as international customers (e.g. central banks running RTGS-type systems or retail payments operators).


  • collecting and documenting requirements for the payment systems/exchange flows;
  • development and testing of the MX/ISO 20022 messages;
  • supporting implementation of MX/ISO 20022 messages in payment systems; and
  • knowledge sharing on payments processes (including preparation of training materials and delivery of training sessions).


  • proficiency in English (B2/C1 minimum);
  • working experience with any of the major payment architectures (SEPA, EBIC, RTGS, ACH, FPS, Swift, Card, EPOS);
  • in-depth knowledge in the field of domestic or cross border payments;
  • solid understanding of the payments’ clearing and settlement processes (processing rules, error reporting, exception flows, and payment repair);
  • a master’s degree of Economics/Finances/Accounting/Information Technology, etc.;
  • excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); and
  • analytical skills and solution-oriented attitude.

Nice to have

  • basic understanding of XML, JSON or similar technical formats;
  • solid understanding of UML and BPMN notation for documenting business processes; and
  • solid understanding of any following messaging formats: MT, FIN, ISO 20022, ISO 15022
