USE CASE

ATOME: Particles for IORP II reporting and data quality assurance

Problem

Pension funds across Europe need to prepare to face the new requirements set by EIOPA’s IORP II Directive which will significantly change IORPs ways of handling data and regulatory reporting. More information to be managed and disclosed, quality checks and conversion of data into XBRL format call for technological solutions and data governance that are fit for purpose and easy to implement. Understanding of IORP II regulatory requirements at an early stage is crucial when preparing for upcoming submissions and getting the reports right from the onset.

Solution

Bringing the experience gained while working on EIOPA’s Solvency II and IORP II taxonomies, BR-AG provides reporting and validation tool for pension funds on their way to IORP II filings. ATOME: Particles is an intuitive and straightforward software which is designed to create, edit and validate IORP II reports and correct errors before submitting to the regulator. Data can be imported from and exported to Excel and XBRL formats. Information is organised similarly as the Excel sheets developed by EIOPA, which facilitates the reporting process.

value

Both IORP II exempted and non-exempted pension funds are able to implement a reliable XBRL solution at low cost and effort and make sure to get all updates right and in line with new releases of the IORP II taxonomy by EIOPA. It is supported by the know-how of our experts responsible for data modelling, quality assurance and updates of XBRL taxonomies. Our webinar sessions provide the opportunity to share this practical knowledge and explain IORP II and the Pension Funds XBRL Taxonomy.
