What is the DORA regulation?

The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is an EU regulation aimed at strengthening the financial sector’s ability to withstand and recover from cyber threats and IT disruptions. It focuses on ICT risk management, incident reporting, and third-party oversight, with guidance from European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA, ESMA) and enforcement by National Competent Authorities.

Deadline

Starting January 17, 2025, all in-scope financial entities must fully adhere to the regulations set out in DORA.
